Skye Whitcomb is running from her troubles, and where better to run than Europe? Fresh out of college, she makes quick plans with her best friend Paige and hops on a plane.
Of course, nothing ever goes as planned—at least not for her. First, Paige has to bail, and Skye’s left to travel alone. Then she meets sweet and sexy Asher Benedict in Paris, and sparks fly after a night together on the train to Rome. He’s all kinds of perfect for her, but the timing couldn’t be worse since she was running from the altar when she left—so the last thing she wants right now is a relationship.
But Skye’s about to discover that no matter how far you run, love can find you anywhere.

A sweet and steamy New Adult contemporary romance, appropriate for mature readers (17+)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book drew me in and kept me up Friday night. I read until I realized all of my kids had put themselves to bed. I tore through 51% of it that night. If Saturday and Sunday weren't so busy I would have finished it Saturday at least by lunch! But by 3pm Sunday I was finished.

I love Skye, she's vulnerable and she may not know what she wants, but she does know what she doesn't want. She's a grownup who has never been on their own, not really.
I like the detailed best friendship she has with Paige as well as her relationship with her younger brother.
I also like the depth of Asher's character.
I absolutely loved the plot and the journey. Skye is a girl we all have inside. She's taking the 'what if's' out of the equation. Figuring out who she is and what she really wants. It is the bravest thing that a person can do.
All I can say after reading it really is BRAVO!! j. meyers officially made me want to give a book a standing ovation! My brain echoed with the John Hughes-ish clapping to thundering applause.

If you want to laugh and cry and laugh some more and swoon..... Anyways! This is the read for you!

Just a really really good read!
NA & Romance fans THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!!

Get the book and fall in love!! Anywhere!

((Fade Into You by Mazzy Star played in my headset as I read the last chapter and yeah... That was awesome...))

Skye is in Paris stuck in a hotel room with her best friend Paige who has been sick. Skye jokes that maybe Paige is pregnant. She's lost thinking on how her mom uses her morning sickness filled pregnancy with Skye, as a scolding, 'How could you after all I went through to bring you into this world!' ,sort of thing.
She notices the odd look on Paige's face and she freaks. She goes out and gets food and a pregnancy test. After Skye gets back Paige disappears into the bathroom to take her test.
Skye is thinking about how long Paige had been with her boyfriend.
Skye is also recalling how she ditched life and ran out on everything. She was about to get married. She had graduated college and her mom and fiancé were running her life basically. She realized she wasn't happy she was just going with the flow.

Paige comes out and tells Skye she has to go home.
They head to the airport and Skye is torn. She's been planning her euro trip for years and didn't want to go back and end up married to Blaine and coaxed by her mom.
Plus when would she get the chance to backpack across Europe again.
She wanted to be there for Paige it's what best friends do.
Paige immediately realizes it and tells Skye to stay, she explains needing to figure it out with her boyfriend who she was waiting to tell in person.
Paige is off going home to deal with the surprise preggers.

Skye is trying to figure out where to go next she's also second guessing her decision to backpack across Europe alone. Her mom was gonna freak!

She is sorta staring at the departure board and not moving.
Where does she wanna go first? She really doesn't have a clue.
So a stranger approaches and asks her if she needs help finding her train. He's clearly American, and cute! (Hee hee!)
His name is Asher.
He asks where she's going and she randomly picks Rome and guess what he's going there too. :)
So they travel together on the train and talk, sharing a lot in a little time. Once there he sees if there's a spot at the hostel where he is staying for Skye.

(So I am seriously loving the book at this point. I was totally sucked in loving the plot and the characters!)
So things are going great and they are getting along wonderfully. They start spending more time together and getting to know each other. It's an odd comfort, to have some one to travel with and feel safe with.
I love the Quests and that they are open, her about Blaine and him about his ex. Who he is supposed to meet up with to talk things over in London.
I like the moment that she realizes she doesn't want to lose Asher as a traveling companion. And maybe more.
They get along famously and spend a month wrapped up in each other. It's obvious to me that this was fate.... But.....Both know it has to end, she's going to Paige's wedding and he has to meet his ex Tamara.
They are spending their last three days where they met in France.
Its bittersweet to say the least.
All of this has changed Skye for the better. She has plans to live her own life and move away from home and her mother's controlling ways.
It's the last night and Skye spends it in tears being ripped apart hour by hour in Asher's arms.
It's time for Asher to get on his train and Skye is speechless.

And everything that happens past this point you just have to read for yourself!

Even if you read this spoiler section there's so much I haven't spoiled!!! Get the book and fall in love!! Anywhere!
